According to baby mama and ex-Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star Joseline Hernandez, Stevie J asked her first and when she said no, he went to Faith Evans as the backup plan.

Now we don’t know how much of Joseline’s story is true, but she initially reacted to the marriage by sharing a screenshot of Stevie J allegedly asking Her to marry her just 30 days before he married Faith.

Stevie allegedly wrote:

Will you marry me?

Joseline responded to Stebbie saying:

I’m actually trying to marry someone else I really like. I’m sorry. I tried it with you. I’m liking someone else a lot.

Following the marriage vows Stevie J and Faith Evans were criticized for their union and dismissed as some type of publicity stunt. The couple confirmed their vows in ink.

If you recall, Faith squashed that talk in an interview just days after getting married.

People are always going to have something to say but I would never do anything (an important decision) like that for a publicity stunt.
