Dolores Catania: RHONJ Reunion Taping Was The “Worst”!

CelebnReality247.com reports that Dolores Catania appeared on Tamra Judge and Teddi Mellencamp‘s podcast on Monday, where she looked back on the recently-filmed reunion special for The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 12.
During the interview, Dolores Catania hit on a bunch of topics like her son, Frankie Catania Jr., and Teresa Giudice‘s daughter, Gia Giudice, communicating with Teresa’s ex-Joe Giudice and why she got so mad and yelled at Margaret Josephs.
According to Dolores:
[The] reunion was like, the worst ever. Ever. This is my seventh and it was absolutely draining. It was a long time and a lot of fighting and I’m not getting along with someone right now, out of nowhere,” she shared on the April 11 episode of the Two T’s in a Pod podcast.
However, Dolores confirmed she believes that the broken relationships of season 12 can be repaired, saying, “I do.”
As for her son Frankie’s relationship with Gia she’d love for the two of them to get together one day.
Dolores explained:
[Gia] called me the other day and we spoke on the phone. I love her. Will they wind up together? I don’t know. Would I be happy? Sure. Of course, I know how she was raised. I know what kind of girl she is. I know she’s got those old-school Italian ways. For the prom, she made sure my mother came in and sat down, made sure my mother had water and something… It’s her prom and this is what she’s doing with my mother.
In addition to staying in touch with Gia, Dolores is also in touch with Gia’s dad, Joe.
Catania revealed:
I do. I have commented on his stuff. But to talk on the phone? No.
As for what made her get mad at Margaret, Dolores gave a nod to the recent rumors suggesting she may have hooked up with Joe Gorga.
Margaret is an a–hole about this. I yelled at her for this. She was kidding around. I’m like, ‘Margaret, you and I never had that conversation.’ Joe Gorga’s like a little brother to me. Margaret was kind of like kidding about it and I knew right away, I was like, ‘Margaret, don’t even kid around about that.’ It’s probably the most mad that I ever got at her,” Dolores admitted. “He is literally like a little brother to me. I’ve known him since he was a little kid… So no.
Will the same cast return for season 13 cast of RHONJ?
Dolores said yes, but also suggested that a shakeup would be good for the show.
There’s nobody solid. It’s hard to cast. You need [cast shakeups] because how much can we destroy each other? At some point, the straw is going to break and there’s no coming back from it.
