Did you hear, Mob Wives Brittany Fogarty Responds To Big Ang Funeral Ban?

Mob Wives is over, but the drama continues in the wake of Big Ang’s memorial services since Mob Wives newbie Brittany Fogarty was banned from attending the visitation on Saturday and Angela Raiola’s funeral!

If you have been watching Mob Wives, you would know that Brittany was the newest hot head on the series trying to make her mark and let it be known to not F with her. Ang was the voice of reason, but Brittany was a little out of control on the show, so we get why the family asked her NOT to attend.

CelebNReality247.com has learned via Fogarty on why she and her mother were shut out of the services — and it has everything to do with the family, in an exclusive statement to Us Weekly.

Fogarty tells Us:

“I think that it’s unfortunate that I couldn’t be at any of Ang’s services this weekend, and that I couldn’t say bye to her in that way.”

“The last thing that I would want is to go there and cause a scene. This is about celebrating Ang’s life and the fact that her family has to say bye to such a beautiful person and I want to respect that.”

Despite The New York Daily News report that both Fogarty and Gravano were banned from the memorial and funeral. We would like to point out that Karen Gravano was indeed in attendance at both the memorial and the funeral on Monday.

However, Fogarty’s mom, Andrea Giovino, explained to the paper that more than 20 years ago, her husband, John Fogarty, revealed the identities of fellow mobsters while cooperating with the feds in a high-profile murder case. After Fogarty served some time behind bars, he and the rest of his family were eventually relocated under the Witness Protection Program to scenic Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where they moved from Staten Island, New York.

Fogarty, who honored Big Ang via Instagram last week, recalls to Us:

“I was called on Saturday, by a mutual friend, and told not to attend the services because of something my father did.”

“I was in my car heading over and pulled over and started hysterically crying. I was already upset because I was headed to her services, but pulled over and cried hysterically when I found out I couldn’t go. I was really taken aback when I received the call, I was not expecting it at all. Ang never judged me for the actions of my father. The fact that he cooperated with police never influenced her opinion of me, and I loved her for that.”

The two became close after Fogarty joined the cast of VH1’s smash series last month:

“I don’t want to make this about me, or about what my father did.”

The former runway model tells Us:

“I understand that this is what happens in our world. I don’t think it’s right to punish me for something that I had no part of, but if that’s what will make this easier for Ang’s family, then that’s what I want to do. I don’t think that’s what Ang would have wanted, but that’s how it is. I’m going to have to say bye to her on my own time, I’m going to visit the cemetery this week and go pay my respects and say goodbye to Ang in that way. This service is about her family saying goodbye.”

Brittany took to social media, writing:

“You will be forever missed and never forgotten. Thank you for always being there for me, I will forever cherish all of the memories and laughs we have shared together and all that you have taught me. Love you ? #RIP #Angela @biggangvh1”

She added:

“I love this picture because I feel like it captures Angela’s beautiful carefree spirit. She was a wise woman with a huge heart, this world would be a better place if we were all a little more like our beloved Big Ang. To say she will be missed is an understatement. Forever in our hearts ?? #RIP #Angela”

Ang battled stage IV lung and brain cancer before she died at age 55 in an NYC hospital on Thursday, February 18.
