Guy Fieri’s Tournament of Champions III: Delicious Cut Throat Fun !

The best food show on The Food Network is Guy Fieri’s Tournament of Champions is the new Iron Chef replacement…

CelebnReality247.com was happily engaged in The Food Network’s newest prime-time destination on Sunday nights, Tournament of Champions III hosted by Guy Fieri.

For the first time ever, Guy is bringing together a whopping 32 of the greatest culinary masterminds in the world for a chance to earn the largest prize in tournament history: $100,000.

Guy Fieri is our favorite chef who hosts Diners Drive-ins and Dives, Guys Grocery Games and more.

But Sunday night was amazing as he put up the first 12 chefs in one of the most cutthroat competitions ever. It was win or lose, but first Guy ranked each of the chefs.

Tournament of Champions III immediately demonstrates reality TV food competition competitors on a high stakes win or lose round.

He pitted chef against chef in a blind judging and numerical scoring which either has them advance or exit. Episode one Michael Voltaggio took the win. The upset was Tiffany Derry beating out Timothy Hollingsworth (exec Chef of the French Laundry). The redemption round was won by Eric ‘Pong’ Adjepong who battled KBC. The final of four rounds went to the 2nd season winner Maneet Chauhan won by 2 points over #8 seat Richard Hales. It was a great first episode.

TOC III was intense and we are loving it!

Among talent competitions, it’s the most-fair, most-trustworthy structure I’m aware of. The judges don’t even know who is in the competition. The format also produces excellent food and entertainment, from the randomizer’s curveballs to the suspense of the chefs watching their food be judged from their trailers.

While the chefs are going head to head Justin Warner and Simon Majumdar take notes on what they are making so they can convey it to the judges.
