Love and Hip Hop Miami NOT Cancelled, A New Production Company is Taking Over
RUMORS have been swirling this weekend that LHHMIA is being cancelled but we have an update on the fate of dirty south based reality series. VH1 never officially made an announcement that Love And Hip Hop Miami was cancelled, but we have new information that the series is being retooled like Love and Hip Hop Hollywood. Did VH1 Cancel Love and Hip Hop Miami? Read on to see what’s happening…
CelebNReality247.com got word on Monday that Love And Hip Hop Miami was being cancelled, but not even the cast knows what’s going on with the show.
We revealed the ratings weren’t the best, but LHHMIA isn’t the only LHH struggling in ratings. The Atlanta, Hollywood and New York shows are also struggling.
While VH1 hasn’t confirmed or denied anything, the rumors are multiplying.
Here is what we’ve learned via MTO News:
According to a high-level executive, VH1 appears to be planning on canceling Love & Hip Hop Miami – making all of the show’s stars unemployed. The decision has not yet been finalized – but it doesn’t look good for the Miami franchise of VH1s top show.
The exec, who asked to remain nameless, revealed:
Love & Hip Hop is our top franchise, so we have to protect it and only have strong spin-offs. Atlanta, New York, and Hollywood are all doing well. Miami hasn’t performed.
Now we are hearing an update from Blogger Best Reality Blog who is claiming the series is NOT cancelled, but it is being taken over by a new production company.
They’re spilling this tea:
LHHMIA IS NOT canceled!!! There’s a new production company and ALL franchises have been handed over from monami/Eastern to that new company. So, all cast deals from prior seasons have to be turned over to the new company. Also, pick up notices for the upcoming have to be sent out under new production. This has caused ALL of the most recent seasons of LHH to start filming(production) late! #LHHMIAMI WILL continue! #LHHMIA #LHHATL #LHHH #LHHNY
