CelebnReality247.com reports that Erika Jayne opened up in a new interview that “after much consideration” she “decided to end my marriage to Tom Girardi.”
Erika Jayne said that “this is not a step taken lightly or easily.”
The 49-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star said:
I have great love and respect for Tom and for our years and the lives we built together.
Erika Jayne has been married to Tom Girardi for 21 years, but their marriage needs to come to an end.
Jayne continued:
It is my absolute wish to proceed through this process with respect and with the privacy that both Tom and I deserved. I request others give us that privacy as well.
A source revealed to Us Weekly:
Erika and Tom had an unconventional marriage, spending a lot of time apart. Several months. They would travel separately. Tom gave Erika a very lavish lifestyle, and she enjoyed it.
After joining the cast of the Bravo reality series in 2015, Erika “gained independence and confidence,” the source adds. “The exposure it has given for her singing career has given Erika a much larger fan base.”
At least Erika is not like Denise Richards who quit the series after her private business became too REAL for the housewives star.
Speaking to Andy Cohen back in 2017, she revealed that she did not have a prenup, but that she would most likely still not get her hands on Tom’s cash.
She said at the time:
Let me tell you something, let me be very clear. I’m married to a very powerful lawyer…a prenup wouldn’t stand in his way anyway… It’s gonna be all Tom’s way, I assure you. He’ll rip that piece of paper to shreds in two seconds!
