RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 2 is finally back but this time around the Queens will have to eliminate each other and the Claws Are Out!!!
Flip and get the details on RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars…
If you missed season 2 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars then you missed one of the most shady, hilarious and in your face shows on summer.
Ru brought back his Drag Race All Stars which was mostly season 5 with a touch of season 6 and season 2. Shall we give you the run through who came back to be an ALL STAAAAAAR?
First up is Adore Delano (Season 6), Alaska (Season 5), Alyssa Edwards (Season 5), Coco Montrese (Season 5), Detox (Season 5), Ginger Minj (Season 8), Katya (Season 7), Phi Phi O’Hara (Season 4), Roxxxy Andrews (Season 5), and Tatianna (Season 2).
Everyone walks in giving it to the camera, but right off the top Phi Phi O’Hara says she has a new attitude and she’s no longer bitter. NOT, she’s still a bitter drag queen that is a lackluster to the other All Stars. Of course Coco Montrese is serving shade, but the shade is tired and old news. Our favs Alaska, Adore Delano, Detox, Roxxxy Andrews and Tatianna walk in with no fear. We already have our top 5 picked out, but this can be anyone’s game because the queens have to vote each other out.
Ru ups the stakes by having the top two queens lip sync for their legacy. The winner will get $10,000 cash price on top of the $100K grand prise. RuPaul chose these 10 because she feels that they have something to prove to their fans, family and themselves.
Episode kicks off with “All Star Talent Extravaganza” on the season premiere of Logo’s RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars 2. The first competition is Reading and what have we all learned?
Reading is fundamental.
Once the competition starts, and the reading begins, Adore Delano, Alaska, Phi Phi O’Hara and Detox had the best reads, but it was Alaska won the competition.
After the mini-challenge RuPaul gives the queens their first challenge is a talent show called “All Star Talent Extravaganza.” Ru wants to see how far the queens have come from their season of Drag Race.
What happens in the All Star dressing room?
Ra laska Tox is reunited, but Alaska is not feeling it, so its down to Ra-Tox. Roxxxy Andrews claims that she’s NOT going to be underhanded and play dirty this time around. She says that she is focused on her talent. We will see.
And Phi Phi O’Hara claims that she is a new person, but we aren’t see any change there either. Checkout Phi Phi O’Hara talking to RuPaul below:
Once the talent show kicks in its obvious who is in the bottom three. We had a hunch it would be Phi Phi O’Hara and Coco Montrese and we were right. We were shocked that Adore Delano was also in the bottom. But for the winners, it was obvious that Tatianna and Roxxxy Andrews impressed the judges. Their performances were flawless.
Roxxxy Andrews did an awesome burlesque and Tatianna had an amazing spoken word performance that had those two lip syncing for their legacy. In the end Roxxxy Andrews won the first $10,000 prize, but Roxxxy was forced to send one queen home.
The worst of the 3 was Coco Montrese with a dated performance which was like watching Columbia tap dance in Rocky Horror Picture Show and tripping and falling. EPIC FAIL! But before we learned who went home, the queen deliberated and Roxxxy met with each of the bottom 3. Adore asked to go home, Phi Phi pleaded to stay and Coco told Roxxxy that she’d understand.
Meanwhile, Detox tells Roxxxy and Tatianna, “I wouldn’t want to be in your f-cking shoes.” And Alaska nods, uncharacteristically somber. “This sucks…but a decision has to be made.”
After the interviews Roxxxy ends up sending Coco Montrese. Coco exits, but while speaking her confessional, Ru pops up and tells her that she will have a second chance to get vengeance.
Bottom line this season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars is about to get messy.
RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars 2 airs on Logo and VH1 on Thursdays at 8 pm.
